#Infatuation #Love #Lust #ThereIsADifference

Love is when you feel such a way for someone that you’ll sacrifice yourself or something you want for the betterment of that person. Love is when someone else’s needs are more important than your own. Love is wanting to make sure the other person is cared for.

Lust is simply wanting to be sexually intimate with someone. You don’t care about the other person’s feelings. You want to “be with them” and will say whatever you think you need to for them to give you what you want. Lust is self-serving whereas love is serving the other person.

Many people mistake infatuation with love and or lust. Infatuation is loving the idea of being with someone. Infatuation is like living in a fantasy. You may not even know much about the person, but you fantasize about being with them in a sexual way. There may be a time when you become sexually intimate with that person and think it’s because of love, but it’s not. It’s the ‘idea’ of love that motivates you to be with that person. Seeing the best in a person and denying the worst in a person is a sign of infatuation. Infatuation is the illusion of a utopian relationship.

Can infatuation lead to lust and then love? Or does how a relationship begins dictate what the relationship will always be?

What do you think?
