Why I Write

I write because there are no words that would suffice to convey what exactly it is that’s on my mind. Even if I were able to effectively express my thoughts into verbiage, would they be understood? I think not.

You see, with written word one has the capability to read as slowly or as quickly as they would like. They can then rehearse the lines read and take as much time as desired to process what they’ve read.

I write because there are times when emotions spring up within my soul which refuses to pass through my lips. A pen and a piece of paper or, more up to date with modern technology, my laptop provides my soul a release and my brain a reprieve. There are times when not to write is to bury my soul and hinder creativity. Thank you for accepting my invitation to see what’s inside of me.

I journeyed from GED to a PhD in Psychology. I decided to focus on my writing once I retired from the clinical field. I write in various genres and have several WIPs for publication once edited. I post articles on this website for intellectual and entertainment purposes.
