You Control You

You Control You

Regardless of what’s going on around you there are always two things you can control – your actions and your reactions.

Some people believe that they’re not responsible for the things they do. They feel justified. Some don’t hold themselves accountable for their actions if done in retaliation.

For example:

I smack Harry and he smacks me back. I ask, “Harry, why’d you smack me?” He replies, “Because you smacked me first.”

The real answer is Harry was angry at being smacked and didn’t exercise self-control to calm himself down.

It’s immature to blame your actions or reactions on others. Hold yourself accountable for the things you say and do.

What do you think about the above? I look forward to reading your thoughts.
